Three stories about love

On June 30 one-act ballet Closer than Love to the music of Johann Pachelbel, George Handel, Christoph Gluck, Antonio Vivaldi, Ezio Bosso, and Benedetto Marcello will premiere on the stage of the Kyiv Municipal Theater of Opera and Ballet for Children and Youth. The show was staged by Artem Shoshyn (a soloist of Kyiv Modern Ballet and finalist of the TV show “Everybody Dance!-5”), who is also the choreographer and the costume designer of the show.

The main topic of the play Closer than Love is the path which leads from the beginning of relationships between lovers and love’s bloom through partings to what is left after death – the aching void and fear of loneliness. Three stages of love are symbolized by three pairs of actors. Every stage is an exciting story. What is the power of love and where true love can be found?
