Back in summer the French ambassador promised to give a press conference to The Day and Den’s Summer School of Journalism. But tight schedule has so far prevented him from holding a meeting. That is why he volunteered to come to the newspaper’s office, mentioning that he “keeps his promises.”
“You are moving in the right direction. But all projects should be implemented and all promises should be fulfilled. Then all the doors will be open,” the French ambassador said during an hour-long press conference. “However, the question arises: what will be after Vilnius? What will Russia’s reaction be, in terms of the export and import of goods? Russia is concerned about the possible development of events in November. Necessary means should be taken to preserve the trade and economic connections,” Alain REMY added.
