Bruce JACKSON, President of the Project on Transitional Democracies says that the current political crisis in Ukraine has undergone significant transformations within the past several weeks.
It began as a crisis in Europe and during the Vilnius Summit, then it spread to city streets, turning into a crisis of violence and repression. In the end, the choice had to be made between revolution and repression. Neither would be democratic. He believes that Ukraine’s future depends on acting in accordance with the Constitution – in other words, any problems should be solved during the 2015 elections, and that this holds true for both sides.
