The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) updated its global rankings of the best national teams. Despite Ukraine’s failure to qualify directly for the final tournament of the 2014 World Cup, a series of victories won by our team recently has allowed it to rise by as much as six positions in the rankings, ending in the 20th place. According to the FIFA’s official website www.fifa.com Spain leads the rankings, followed by Germany and Argentina.
England’s team, Ukraine’s rival in the group stage of qualification for the 2014 World Cup, has qualified for the final tournament as the winner of group H, at the same time moving up seven positions in the rankings and becoming the 10th best soccer team globally. By the way, San Marino’s team, which Ukraine beat twice with a total score of 17:0, occupies the lowly 207th slot in the FIFA’s table. In fact, it was victories over Poland (1:0) and San Marino that catapulted our boys through the rankings.
