January 26 1993. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered the Congress of Ukrainian Nationalists.

1995. The first regional center for certificate auctions was opened in Zhytomyr.

January 27 1918. The UNR delegation signed a peace treaty with representatives of the Central Powers in Brest-Litovsk.

1924. The Kyiv city and provincial councils approved a decision to erect a monument to Lenin in Kyiv.

1992. Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the national blue and yellow banner as the State Flag of Ukraine.

January 29 1990. The Revolutionary Ukrainian Party, the first Ukrainian political party in Dnipro Ukraine, was created in Kharkiv.

1992. The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine registered the All-Ukrainian Shevchenko Prosvita Society.

January 30 1868. A musical school, now Kyiv Gliere Musical College, was opened in Kyiv.

1992. Ukraine joined the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Helsinki.
