February 2 marks one year since the frontman of the band Skriabin, Kuzma, passed away. On this day the citizens of Lviv are invited to the Kobzar monument at Freedom Avenue, to share the memories of the singer. The memorial evening is entitled “Kuzma. A Year of Solitude.” And that would be “the day when the whole country will be singing songs of Kuzma,” as written at the Facebook page of Skriabin band. “This is not a concert, this is a memory evening, and we’ll be at this together: Andrii’s parents, friends, the band, fans – and will Kuzma be with us? Lviv, come. We will recall and honor him, and sing his songs, because Kuzma lives in his songs!”

Andrii Kuzmenko was born August 17, 1968 in Sambir near Lviv. He tragically died in a car accident on February 2 near Dnipropetrovsk, returning from a concert in Kryvy Rih. He was in a hurry to catch a plane. Kuzma’s SUV collided with a milk truck. From his injuries the singer died on the spot. Andrii’s funeral was held at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Lviv. He was buried in the family vault in the Briukhovychi cemetery near Lviv. In the village of Briukhovychi live Andrii’s parents.
