On September 25, the Ukrainian Animation Studio Animahrad, a division of FILM.UA Group, signed an agreement to produce new seasons of the 3D animated series Eskimo Girl. Animahrad plans to release five more seasons of the show over the coming year, covering Arctic adventures of its inquisitive characters.

According to the studio’s PR manager Denys Barynov, the continued production has been made possible by an agreement reached between Animahrad and the series’ original producer HanzhonkovFilm studio.

The series has already gained the sympathy of Ukrainian audience, with the first season premiering successfully in the fall of 2012 as part of the 1+1 Channel’s morning show “Breakfast with 1+1.” The cartoons depict adventures of the young Eskimo girl and her friends in the fairy-tale world of the Arctic.

The producers expect their series to be shown not only in Ukraine and Russia, but throughout the world, too. Eskimo Girl, as well as other Animahrad’s productions, including full-length animated film Ruslan and Lyudmila, will be presented at MIPCOM 2013, the largest international exhibition of entertainment content, to be held in Cannes from October 7 through 10.
