Ethno-rock foundation TaRuta presented its composition “The Wild Steppe” (“Black-and-Red Banner”), written specially for Ukrainian volunteer troops. The band dedicates the song to Ukrainian heroes who followed their heart and went to fight for our fatherland’s integrity in the east. The lyrics were written by Yukro Vovkohon, a volunteer fighter of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps “The Right Sector,” who in his previous, civilian life was a journalist, festival organizer, and poet. The song was recorded at a studio in Klaipeda, Lithuania, and mixed by Ukrainian Maks Topchii, known in the music community due to his cooperation with Boombox. Soon TaRuta will be presenting a new video to the song “The Wild Steppe,” featuring fire show artists from Polumia Vikiv, a Vinnytsia-based Cossack fire studio. The premiere is slated for December 6, The Ukrainian Army Day.
